Administration Assistant Classification: Clerks Award Level 3 Location: Boonah, QLD Status: Part Time – 15 hours per week About the Role Step into a role that truly matters. As the Administration Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of the Toowoomba Corps—keeping operations running smoothly, supporting ministry activities, and helping drive The Salvation Army’s mission forward. This is a dynamic, purpose‑driven position where your organisational strengths and attention to detail will make a real difference every day. How You Will Make an Impact In this role, you’ll be the go‑to person who keeps the Corps organised, informed, and moving with confidence. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating daily administrative tasks such as filing (electronic and hard copy), minute taking, mail processing, correspondence, ordering supplies, accounts processing, and revenue handling. Supporting volunteer management through data integrity checks, onboarding, and compliance processes (Blue Cards, child safety, code of conduct). Maintaining accurate copyright records and ensuring all reporting meets licensing requirements. Completing timely and accurate data entry across centralised and local systems, including SAMIS. Coordinating all administrative aspects of the Red Shield Appeal—bookings, rosters, business breakfasts, resources, and money counting. Assisting with the creation and distribution of digital and printed media, including newsletters, PowerPoints, social media content, photos, and videos. Managing office and Corps supplies to ensure the team is well‑equipped and supported at all times. What You Will Bring You’ll shine in this role if you’re organised, proactive, and confident working independently. You’ll also bring: 3 years of administration experience in an office or practice environment. Strong communication and presentation skills, enabling positive engagement with a wide range of people. Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated initiative, discretion, and sound judgement. A Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent experience. A valid Queensland employee Blue Card (WWCC). A current driver’s licence.
