Recruitment Select is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Officer to join one of our valued manufacturing clients on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Buyer/Planner with strong supply chain coordination skills to step into a fast‑paced environment and support end‑to‑end material flow. The role is offered on a casual basis , with full‑time hours available , working Monday-Friday (8-4, 9-5). About the Role Working as part of a collaborative supply chain team, you will be responsible for procurement planning, supplier management, production scheduling support, and ERP‑based production order management. This position suits someone who is confident juggling multiple priorities, communicating with suppliers, and ensuring materials are available to meet production demands. Key Duties Procurement Planning & Purchase Order Execution Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with production requirements and inventory levels. Create, release, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system with accurate quantities, pricing, and delivery dates. Monitor PO status, follow up on confirmations, and process amendments when required. Supplier Management & On‑Time Supply Assurance Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order progress and ensure timely delivery. Resolve supply issues, shortages, delays, or quality deviations. Assess supplier performance and escalate risks proactively. Master Production Scheduling (MPS) Support Provide material availability insights to support the Master Production Schedule. Align supply plans with production requirements to avoid interruptions. Collaborate with planning, production, and warehouse teams to analyse capacity, lead times, and demand fluctuations. Production Order Management (ERP) Create, release, and monitor production orders to support efficient manufacturing. Track order progress, material issuance, and consumption to maintain real‑time system accuracy. Work with production supervisors to resolve bottlenecks, shortages, or scheduling conflicts. Technical Skills Intermediate to advanced Excel capability SAP MM knowledge highly regarded Experience in upstream planning, procurement, or production planning Soft Skills Strong communication and stakeholder engagement High attention to detail and accuracy Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset Strong organisational and time‑management skills *Please note that you will be required to pass a police check and Drugs and Alcohol test.
