Job Description We are currently seeking a highly motivated Security Manager for a position in a retail asset at Belmont. The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring that we are delivering the highest standards of both customer and security services in a dynamic work environment. In addition to excellent communication skills and, the role requires the aptitude and knowledge to apply security risk and hazard management principles in the work environment. The Primary Duties & Responsibilities include: Daily rostering, leading a small team, liaising with Centre Management Responsible for delivering on contractual obligations to client in accordance with site SOPs and lawful direction/s from Supervisor/Site Manager Overseeing the site-based control room and CCTV system Effect hazard risk management principles to mitigate risks Effective patrol of premises, including (if applicable) vehicular patrol Respond to calls for assistance and respond to alarm events Manage conflict through negotiation, with critical abilities in using two-way interaction; non-judgmental and non-discriminatory language; and active listening techniques. Report any OHS&E hazards or incidents identified in the workplace Input data on site/client systems, as required by site SOPs Liaise with Emergency Services during the course of duties (Police/Fire/Ambulance) Provide regular contact with, and reports to, Supervisor/Site Manager Key Selection Criteria Security License including crowd control function in their license First Aid Accreditation (CPR) Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Retail security industry experiences preferable Personable with excellent customer service attributes and the ability to engage stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Office application like word and excel You must have valid work rights in Australia.
