Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. As the Media, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of media, communications, and promotional activities at Carers NSW. The role focuses on delivery, traditional media and public relations execution, event communications, content coordination, and routine reporting, and reports into the Manager, Marketing and Communications. The role supports Carers NSW's strategic positioning, brand reputation, and stakeholder engagement by delivering high quality communications across multiple channels. We're ideally looking for someone that has well rounded experience across media, comms and marketing This is a full time contract position until June 2027. Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes: Tertiary qualification in media, marketing, business or communications or relevant discipline Experience in external communications, marketing, event management and / or public relations, including writing and distributing media releases, event management, production of materials for public and stakeholder audiences Sound project and event management skills, with ability to manage high volumes of concurrent communication requests to meet deadlines and budget Highly organised and takes initiative Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with a wide cross section of people, including internal staff, partners, service providers and the wider community Demonstrated experience with website maintenance (CMS, CRM) and social media activities (scheduling tools), including adapting brand voice for channel appropriateness and applying visual and written brand, tone and accessibility standards to digital content Excellent interpersonal, written and communications skills, with a high level of proficiency in content writing and ability to write to a high standard across different mediums and channels for varied audiences. Design skills such as use of design tools and templates (e.g. Adobe suite, Illustrator and Photoshop (Indesign), Canva Experience briefing design jobs to Graphic Designers and a good visual communicator Excellent computer skills and understanding of CRM / database management and online research tools. Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply and quality check communications materials against brand guidelines, tone of voice and approved messaging frameworks prior to release Demonstrated ability to independently proofread and quality assure communications materials for accuracy, clarity, brand alignment and presentation prior to publication.
