The Chief People Officer (CPO) Division provides a range of enabling services to DVA's business areas to support them in providing quality services to its veterans and their families. The Integrity, Security and Property Branch assists this goal through the provision of business integrity, investigation, compliance, security and property management support to DVA business functions. As a member of the Property Operations Section , and within the Leasing and Engagement Team , you will provide strategic leadership in whole-of-business stakeholder engagement, governance, and organisational change to support the successful planning, delivery, and operation of the organisation's property portfolio. The section contributes to the department's service delivery and associated programs by providing office accommodation that is fit for purpose and in locations that support the veteran community. You can significantly influence, shape and build DVA's future accommodation needs. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in government engagement, change and governance processes aligned to commercial property management. The key duties of the position include Lead whole-of-business engagement initiatives by developing and delivering enterprise-level communication and engagement plans that promote major property operational priorities. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and governance forums on engagement risks, issues, organisational readiness, and change impacts. Design, implement, and embed new and evolving governance frameworks, assurance measures, and decision pathways to support investment, oversight, and accountability across the property function. Lead engagement and change planning for complex property initiatives, including business relocations, consolidations, and major fit outs. Support the organisation's transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations, ensuring sustained adoption of new ways of working. Partner with project, facilities, and operational teams to integrate engagement, governance, and business readiness activities into delivery schedules and milestones. Prepare high-quality executive and board-level briefings, governance papers, and correspondence to support informed decision-making. Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leaders and governance bodies on engagement strategies, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation approaches.
