Job Description Position: Warehouse Manager Reports to: General Manager - Finance & Admin Direct Reports: Warehouse Supervisors and Stock Coordinator Role Overview The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse. This includes managing people, stock, safety, and operations to ensure orders are received, stored, and dispatched correctly and on time. The role also focuses on keeping the warehouse safe, organised, and running efficiently while providing good service to internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities People & Team Management Lead, support, and supervise warehouse staff Provide regular feedback and guidance to the team Make sure staff understand their duties and performance expectations Conduct toolbox talks and performance reviews Promote teamwork, safety, and accountability Daily Warehouse Operations Ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time Oversee receiving of goods and ensure stock is checked and put away correctly Make sure returns are processed properly Ensure paperwork and records are completed and stored correctly Stock & Inventory Control Maintain accurate stock levels Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies Ensure stock is rotated correctly (FIFO) Manage packaging supplies and warehouse materials Ensure pallets are stacked and wrapped safely Health, Safety & Security Maintain a safe working environment at all times Ensure staff follow WHS procedures and wear PPE Report and investigate incidents, hazards, or near misses Ensure warehouse areas are secure when not in use Warehouse Maintenance Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised Ensure equipment and machinery are well maintained Make sure aisles and work areas are kept clear Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure procedures are followed consistently Maintain accurate records and documentation Look for ways to improve efficiency and reduce errors Support audits and quality checks Sustainability Encourage reuse of cartons and pallets where possible Ensure waste is sorted and disposed of correctly Support environmentally responsible practices Reporting Provide regular updates on productivity, stock accuracy, safety, and staffing Share important information with management and staff as required Skills & Experience Experience managing a warehouse or similar environment Strong people leadership and communication skills Good understanding of workplace safety Organised, reliable, and detail-focused Able to make decisions and solve problems calmly Physical Requirements Able to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving stock Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Qualifications (Preferred but not Essential) Inventory or warehouse-related qualification Forklift licence Management qualification
