Description About the Role Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day operation and enhancement of The Capricornian Bank’s Risk Management Framework and compliance programs. You will work across the organisation, partnering with leaders to ensure regulatory obligations are met, risks are understood and managed within appetite, and governance processes are effective and practical. The role spans enterprise risk, compliance monitoring, incidents and breaches, regulatory change, corporate governance processes, and Board reporting. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance the Risk Management Framework, policies and registers Deliver the compliance monitoring plan and track remediation actions Manage incidents and breaches, including escalation and documentation Track regulatory change and coordinate business implementation Support Corporate Governance, Financial Accountability Regime and Fit & Proper processes Prepare risk and compliance reporting for Board and Committees Deliver risk and compliance training and promote a positive risk culture Provide practical risk and control advice to business stakeholders Skills And Experiences About You You're a hands-on risk and compliance professional with the experience, skills and mindset to manage governance and regulatory obligations confidently. You can translate complex requirements into practical solutions while engaging stakeholders across the business. Experience & Qualifications 4 years' experience in risk, compliance, governance or financial services Experience with compliance monitoring/testing and incident management Experience preparing Board or Committee reports Relevant qualifications in Business, Law, Finance, Risk or similar Skills & Attributes Strong practical risk and control mindset Excellent written communication and policy skills Highly organised with strong follow-through Confident engaging stakeholders across a smaller organisation High integrity, discretion and sound judgement Pragmatic and solutions focused approach Thorough and methodical work style What we Offer You At The Capricornian Bank, we value our people as much as our customers.
