About the role We are seeking a Senior Analytical Electrochemist to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and verification of our implantable potentiometric sensor assemblies, ensuring our technology meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Key responsibilities Design and execute electrochemical verification programs for implantable potentiometric sensor assemblies, including defining experimental methods, test conditions, and acceptance criteria. Develop and validate test apparatus and procedures (fixtures, instrumentation configurations, and measurement protocols) to assess electrical and analytical behavior. Characterize sensor performance and reliability through structured testing, including response dynamics, drift, stability, selectivity, and noise characteristics. Evaluate and improve sensor materials and manufacturing processes by identifying sensitivities and documenting build procedures for scale-up. Analyze experimental datasets and produce technical documentation (results summaries, test reports) to support system requirements and electronics interface design. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to translate results into clear performance targets and design inputs. Required Skills & Qualifications Degree (MSc, MEng, or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. Strong laboratory experience in analytical and experimental techniques specifically related to electrochemical sensors. Deep expertise in potentiometric sensors and chemical characterization techniques. Demonstrated ability to approach and resolve technical problems systematically and creatively.
