About the role: The Food & Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery, quality and compliance of all food and beverage services across the State Sport Centres Trust venues, including Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, Lakeside Stadium, State Netball & Hockey Centre and the State Basketball Centre. Reporting to the Senior Food & Beverage Manager, this role supports the management of supplier contracts, operational performance, customer service, and strategic initiatives across cafés, kiosks, functions and event outlets. This role is based at MSAC in Albert Park but will work across all SSC venues as required to support event delivery, which will include nights and weekends as required. The Operations Manager collaborates with internal teams, external contractors, and venue stakeholders to ensure high-quality service standards, effective event delivery and strong business growth. The position also contributes to reporting, menu planning, financial monitoring, safety compliance and continuous improvement across all F&B operations. As the Food & Beverage Operations Manager your primary responsibilities will include: Work with Events and Operations teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless F&B delivery for all events, including major event days and match operations Manage liquor stock, ordering, POS setup, pricing, COGS, RSA compliance, invoicing and reconciliation across relevant venues Provide on‑site operational support and coordinate both in‑house and outsourced catering services across all SSCT venues Support the implementation and management of outsourced catering contracts and key supplier agreements Contribute to strategies that enhance cost efficiencies, maximise margins and support workforce planning, training and compliance Use client feedback to improve service quality and assist with financial reporting, budgeting and the development of catering policies and procedures Required skills and Qualifications: Current Victorian Working with Children’s Check (Employee) Full Australian working rights Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Current Working with Children Check Current Provide First Aid and CPR qualifications Why is this a great place to work?
