What you’ll do As Assistant Project Officer, you will undertake a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects managed by the Policy and Programs Team, including the Register of War Memorials and the Community War Memorials Fund grant program. Working in a high volume, fast-paced work environment, you will ensure quality service and advice is provided to stakeholders, whilst contributing project and operational support for a range of projects. You will also …. • Monitor and report on project plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure time, cost, and quality align with approved project plans. • Maintain and update project documentation, records, and practices to ensure compliance with project management methodologies. • Conduct basic research and analysis and contribute to project briefs to support effective planning and informed decision‑making. • Assist the project team with implementing project plans and completing tasks to achieve agreed outcomes. • Communicate with stakeholders and provide administrative support, including meeting coordination and preparing papers to support project delivery. • Draft correspondence, briefing notes and related documentation on behalf of the manager and team, in line with departmental approved style guidelines and templates, including retrieving and collating complex documents and information.
