ABOUT THE ROLE: • Authorised Officers operating within the Sydney Bus network • Various locations across Sydney • Permanent Full-Time positions above Award roles • Monday to Friday day shift with the possibility of overtimes during holiday periods and/or special events • Working across Sydney Bus Network • Above award conditions • Full comprehensive training & equipment provided • Make a real difference on Sydney’s public transport network by promoting fare compliance and issue cautions/fines as an Authorised officer Wilson Security is expanding its operations across New South Wales and is seeking Authorised Officers to support the Sydney Bus Network. These roles are critical to maintaining safety, compliance and positive customer experience across public transport services. Working as part of a dedicated transport operations team, you will play a frontline role supporting passengers, drivers and transport partners while ensuring adherence to transport regulations. Full training and equipment are provided, along with ongoing support from Client Service Managers and our Operations Leadership team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate as an Authorised Officer within the Sydney bus network performing fare compliance and enforcement activities • Promote a safe, secure, and respectful public transport environment • Engage with passengers in a professional, non-judgemental and empathetic manner • Observe and assess passenger behaviour to identify safety or compliance risks • Respond to incidents calmly, confidently and in line with transport policies • Apply strong conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques • Provide high quality customer service while enforcing transport regulations • Work collaboratively with drivers, transport staff, and emergency services • Complete accurate incident and daily reporting • Maintain exceptional standards of personal presentation, conduct and professionalism • Comply with all organisational, safety and transport authority procedures ABOUT YOU: • Experience in security, compliance, enforcement or transport roles • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain regulations clearly and confidently • Proven ability to manage confrontational and non-compliant behaviour • A strong customer service mindset • High situational awareness and sound judgement under pressure • Comfortable working on moving vehicles without motion sickness MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: • Current NSW Security licence • Valid First Aid and CPR • Working with Children Check • Full, unlimited right-to-work in Australia Wilson Security is an employer of choice, engaging with our people both online and in person.
