About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Tax Accountant to join the growing ASC Group Tax team and play a key role in meeting taxation and reporting requirements for the Australian group, as well as its overseas subsidiaries and branches. In this role, you will assist with the delivery of tax compliance obligations for the ASC Group, provide tax advisory support across the organisation, drive continuous improvement within the Group Tax team, enhance tax governance across the organisation, and partner with stakeholders to build tax capability and awareness. Responsibilities Assist with the delivery of the ASC Group’s income tax return lodgement obligations in Australia and overseas. Support the preparation of half‑year and full‑year tax effect accounting calculations, disclosures and journals. Prepare the ASC Group’s monthly Business Activity Statement (“BAS”). Assist with the ASC Group’s Fringe Benefits Tax (“FBT”) and employment tax-related processes. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of tax processes, policies and governance frameworks. Ensure all tax activities align with the ASC Group’s Tax Risk Management and Governance Framework. Provide accurate and timely tax advice to the Group Tax Manager and other internal stakeholders. Build and cultivate strong relationships across the business to increase tax knowledge and awareness, while supporting ASC Group Finance with tax‑related matters and forecasting. About you Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance or Accounting, along with CA/CPA certification. At least 3 year’s experience in corporate taxation with strong knowledge of Australian taxation law (including income tax, FBT, GST and employment taxes). Experience supporting taxation for international operations, including transfer pricing and overseas tax obligations (highly desirable). A sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, statutory reporting and financial arrangements. Familiarity with tax governance frameworks, ERP systems and tax technology (such as CCH Integrator). A team-player with excellent communication skills and willingness to learn. Detail-orientated, self-motivated and passionate about tax compliance and governance. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a Baseline level.
