Job Description The Role As the Quality Assurance Team Leader, you will play a critical leadership role within our Quality Assurance function, supporting the protection of our customers, brand, and business. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position leads and mentors the MQF Quality Assurance team while ensuring robust quality, food safety, and compliance systems are upheld across manufacturing operations. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 21:06 , offering an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑paced food manufacturing environments and is passionate about driving quality outcomes, engaging teams and continuously improving systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise and mentor the Quality Assurance team (5 - 6 direct reports), fostering a highly engaged, high‑performing team through strong communication and people leadership. Ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), HACCP, Queensland food safety regulations, and external regulatory requirements across all manufacturing activities. Oversee verification and monitoring activities, including CCPs, RCPs, QCPs and accurate record‑keeping, utilising Microsoft Office to manage documentation, reporting and data analysis. Act decisively on non‑conformances by leading root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that drive sustainable change. Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D and Stores to effectively communicate quality and food safety expectations, influence outcomes and embed a strong quality culture site‑wide. About You Proven experience in food manufacturing quality roles, with strong working knowledge of HACCP and Queensland food safety regulations. 2 - 3 years’ experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within a quality or food safety environment (highly regarded). Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and motivate teams, with strong communication skills that support change and continuous improvement. Strong analytical skills with the confidence to manage non‑conformances and risk‑based decision making. Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to manage data, reporting and documentation effectively. A collaborative leader who builds strong relationships across all levels of the business and leads by example.
