The role: The Business Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the clinic operates effectively, compliantly and with a strong patient focus. Working closely with the Owner, the Business Manager oversees daily practice operations, people leadership, and financial and administrative functions. This role enables the Owner to step back from operational duties and focus on clinical care, while ensuring the practice continues to meet all regulatory, accreditation and governance requirements. The client: Our client is a specialised mental health clinic based in Bendigo, Victoria, providing advanced outpatient psychiatric care to adults across Australia. They focus on evidence-based, patient-centred treatment, with particular expertise in neuromodulation therapies such as repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). Their clinic specialises in supporting people with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma, including veterans and DVA-funded patients, offering comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for individuals who have not found sufficient relief from traditional therapies. What you bring: Demonstrated experience in a Business Manager or similar senior operational role. Strong experience across accounting/finance, HR and people management, and project management. Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice. Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills. Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive documentation with discretion and professionalism. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with the Owner. What is desirable: Experience working in a medical, healthcare, or allied health practice with exposure to practice management and billing systems. Strong understanding of healthcare operations, including accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, practice management, accounting, HR, or management. PD available upon request.
