Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist Location – Hurstville or Long Bay Correctional Complex Employment type – Ongoing Full Time Opportunity Salary - • Senior Psychologist - $124,771 to $135,527 pa • Senior Specialist Psychologist - $146,281 to $154,889 pa • Plus superannuation and annual leave loading Your role Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) is a voluntary service that uses a multidisciplinary approach to support individuals along a continuum, including individuals who have been identified as vulnerable to violent extremism through to those who have received convictions for terrorism offences. This is achieved through the provision of ongoing assessment and intervention that targets risk, needs and vulnerabilities whilst simultaneously trying to increase the strength of personal protective factors. CVE is a service that will continue working with individuals as they progress through the classification system and transition back into the community. What you’ll do As a Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a team that includes Senior Psychologists and Psychologists, and engage with multidisciplinary stakeholders, including Community Corrections, Service and Programs Officers, Religious Support Officer and law enforcement. The Senior Psychologist role specialises in providing assessment, case formulation, and 1:1 intervention to individuals at risk of radicalisation or who have been convicted of terrorism-related offences, who present with a range of treatment needs and diverse criminal histories. The Senior Psychologist works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support diversion, disengagement and reintegration, in both the correctional and community settings. What we’re looking for • Experience in undertaking assessment and intervention for complex needs. • Experience and proficiency in report writing. • Experience in providing consultation services to internal and external stakeholders with a specific focus on risk and case management. • Ability to work independently but also as part of a broader team. • Willingness and ability to travel within NSW. • Successful applicants will need to have or be willing to apply for a national security clearance (NV1). Senior Specialist Grade Applicants Eligibility for consideration of a higher commencing salary is subject to comparative assessment and demonstration of the additional characteristics as defined in the Crown Employees Psychologist Award.
