Description Parents Pathway is a transformative program that offers comprehensive support to parents with children under the age of six, particularly those facing disadvantages. The service aims to empower parents by enhancing their skills and capabilities, guiding them towards achieving their educational and employment objectives. Mentors play a crucial role in this journey, offering personalised support for complex needs that acknowledges each parent's unique situation and the importance of their caregiving role. They assist in setting realistic and attainable goals, leading to stable and suitable employment that harmonizes with their family responsibilities. As a Mentor, you will be responsible for: Supporting and coaching participants to identify their educational and employment goals Motivating and inspire participants Encouraging participants to access services and supports Promoting the program and its benefits to employers engaging in business development activities Maintaining accurate and update case files Skills And Experiences The successful candidate will be employed in a temporary capacity to cover parental leave, ideally commencing mid-May and until June 2027. It is a requirement for Mentors to have or be working towards a Certificate III or IV level qualification in either Community Services, Youth Work, Employment Services or a related field. To be eligible for Senior Mentor, you are required to have a Diploma level qualification. Additionally, experience in the employment or community sector, supporting disadvantaged clients with complex needs, through effective case management is essential.
