We provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy and supports for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions. The purpose of this role is to implement a Behaviour Intervention and/ or Behaviour Support Plan by building the skills of the children and adolescents which we support in their daily lives. This would involve the Therapy Assistant to work in a variety of settings, including in direct therapy sessions, social engagement and in respite and support work. We Are Currently Seeking An Enthusiastic And Passionate Behavioural Therapy Assistant Who Is Available To Work With a Family In Blakeview For 2 Weekly Shifts Monday 12:00pm-2:00pm Thursday 12:00pm-2:00pm Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 therapy and supports to clients in varied settings, including home/clinic/school/in the community. Support clients in developing their skills; communication, social interactions and emotional regulation. Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement. Foster and support a positive environment that encourages client participation. Skills & Experience Studying or completed a Degree/ Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field (preferred) Experience working with children is highly desirable Strong communication skills, both written and verbal A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential Requirements: Right to Work in Australia Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You' Australian Driver's License & Vehicle First Aid/CPR (Current) and willing to maintain Laptop/iPad - you will be using your own device on shift How to Apply: Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the Lizard Talent Acquisition, Olivia Sorokin.
