We’re seeking an experienced and safety-focused Excavator / Front End Loader / Forklift Operator to join our team at our St Marys site. This is an afternoon shift role supporting yard and plant operations through the safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment. You’ll be part of a practical, close-knit team where consistency, teamwork, and safe operation are genuinely valued. Hours of work Afternoon shift: 2pm - 10pm overtime available Your Responsibilities Will Include Operating excavators, front end loaders, and forklifts to move, load, and sort scrap metal Feeding and supporting processing plant operations Assisting with general yard and operational duties as required Completing pre-start checks and reporting any equipment issues Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment Following all site safety procedures and safe work practices To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have Proven experience operating excavators and/or front end loaders A current Forklift (LF) licence (essential) Experience in the scrap metal, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment (desirable) A strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures Reliability, good attendance, and a solid work ethic Flexibility to support different operational tasks and equipment as required In Return, We Offer Competitive rates in line with our Enterprise Agreement On the job training, with certified tickets and opportunities for progression A supportive, safety-focused team environment Paid Parental Leave: 12 weeks (primary carer) or 6 weeks (non-primary) Sound like you?
