Job Description Senior Vulnerability Assessor Long term Contract role – Federal Govt. Dept. QLD, ACT, VIC - Onsite Australian Citizenship with NV2 Clearance About the Role: A high‑profile Federal Government program is seeking multiple experienced Senior Vulnerability Assessors to support security investigations, vulnerability analysis, and the uplift of ICT security across a highly secure environment. These roles focus on identifying and prioritising vulnerabilities, conducting forensic investigations, and providing expert advice to strengthen security architecture and reduce organisational risk. Key Responsibilities: Perform forensically sound security investigations across a wide range of assets and devices. Conduct investigations arising from security incidents or at the direction of senior leadership. Assess and explain threat profiles across diverse electronic systems. Provide advice and guidance to improve ICT security and mitigate risk. Interpret and apply ICT security policy, legislation, and whole‑of‑government standards. Evaluate and support the application of security controls and identify potential vulnerabilities. Apply appropriate system design methods (predictive or agile) to ensure effective outcomes. Design, code, test, document, and refine complex scripts or programs as required. Technical Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience in undertaking threat intelligence/modelling tasks or threat assessments. Experience undertaking penetration testing and providing insights into vulnerabilities, effectiveness of defences and mitigating controls. Experience in the creation and maintenance of executive and/or business reporting relating to threat assessment analysis and mitigation strategies.
