We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Controller to join our credit team. About the role Our stellar new Senior Credit Controller will be responsible for optimising credit policies, process automation and managing complex accounts to ensure the timely collection of payments. Additional responsibilities will include: Supporting the national credit manager in effective management of the company’s credit risk and accounts receivable. Utilise technology and automation to streamline processes and improve accuracy Assist creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analysing financial statements, credit reports and other relevant information. Set credit limits and terms for customers Ensure invoices are issued accurately and promptly, and manage overdue accounts to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding disputes Resolve escalated issues related to customer payments and account discrepancies Assist and management of PPSR registration and renewals Prepare, analyse, and present regular reports on the status of accounts receivable, including aged debt analysis and collection performance metrics. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate smooth credit management and resolve any issues amicably. Work with the credit manager to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to credit management and debt collection. About you Experience- Prior experience in a similar role is essential, including in a senior position. A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable, but not required. Credit Knowledge- It is critical that you will have sound knowledge of credit management principles, accounting practices and financial analysis Well-developed communication skills – you will be communicating and building relationships across all levels within IMCD and with our customers. Analytical Mindset – You will be resourceful, able to identify and assess trends within data. IT Skills- Medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems. Familiarity with JD Edwards would put you a step above the rest. Adaptable to Change- You will enjoy identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change.
