About the role: The role of the Project Delivery Coordinator is to work with asset owners and stakeholders to deliver the annual and multi-year capital programs in accordance with council’s strategic asset management plans. Responsibilities include but not limited too: • Coordinating the planning, design and scoping of capital projects to be delivered by council resources. • Coordinating the procurement of planning, design, construction and implementation of significant, outsourced capital projects. • Coordinating design programs generated by the strategic asset management plans ensuring outcomes are fit for purpose. • Reporting against developed plans, programs and milestones. • Coordinating stakeholder engagement in these projects (and community participation where appropriate) and be accountable for delivery of projects safely and within agreed project specifications. • Ensuring effective and efficient delivery of projects, including project handover, closure, and asset capitalisation. It manages and delivers a wide range of community services and infrastructure across the region, including maintaining roads, parks, libraries, aquatic centres and community facilities, as well as providing water and sewerage, waste collection and recycling. The council supports social and cultural programs like youth and Indigenous initiatives, community development, animal management and public housing, plans for sustainable growth, protects the environment, and oversees local governance, budgeting and decision-making to support the liveability and development of its towns and rural areas. To be successful you will have the following: Mandatory: • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering - Civil) or significant demonstrated experience in contract management and/or project management. • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence. Desirable: • Post graduate qualification in Project Management. • Registered as a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland.
