Our clients are looking for Assistants in Nursing/ Nursing Support Workers in Charters Towers and Townsville, QLD . The Position: As an Assistant in Nursing, you will support the Registered Nurse in the day-to-day administration and management of resident care. You will ensure the delivery of high-standard, holistic, and resident-focused care that meets all legislative and best practice guidelines. This is a hands-on clinical role, ideal for someone passionate about making a genuine impact in aged care. Key Responsibilities: Provides holistic resident focused care to all residents within care in an efficient an effective manner. Update skills and abilities through personal and professional development. Provides a warm, caring, supportive and safe environment for residents whilst respecting the residents’ privacy, confidentiality, dignity and rights as an individual at all times. Skills & Experience Required: • Ability to fulfil the obligations of the role of Assistant in Nursing and to meet the basic competency levels of such position. • Ability to assist the service in meeting organisational objectives and continuous quality improvement within the service. • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with others. • Ability to maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships with all other parties. • Ability to consistently demonstrate optimal organisational and time management skills. • Ability to work as a member of a team. • Ability to maintain professional standards at all times and act as a role model for other staff. • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, creativity and initiative within work role. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience in caring for aged persons in a residential care setting and a genuine interest in caring for the Aged - Essential. Current First Aid Certificate and CPR - Compulsory. Successful completion of a recognised course in Residential Aged Care - Highly Desirable.
