Our Building Asset Renewal team delivers projects ranging from $500k to $10m, specialising in complex remedial and refurbishment works. About the Role We now have an exciting opportunity for a Leading Hand to join our well‑established Asset Renewal team. In this hands‑on role, you will play a key part in delivering a variety of remedial construction projects — including cladding and façade renewals, podium refurbishments, concrete repairs, structural steel repairs, and bespoke high‑rise rectification work. No two projects are ever the same. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in building construction, strong technical understanding, and a keen eye for quality and detail. You’ll be working closely with the site team to rectify and improve buildings’ structural elements, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities General Supervision: Assisting the Site Supervisor and managing building rectification and remedial projects from inception to completion, ensuring all aspects meet the highest quality and compliance standards. Site Inspections: Conduct thorough site inspections to assess the scope of work, identify potential issues, and develop effective remedial strategies whilst working alongside the Site Supervisor and Project Manager. Planning and Assigning Tasks: Plan tasks, delegate work, and monitor the performance of team members. Direct Participation: Working alongside the team, performing tasks such as carpentry, concreting, or other trade-specific duties required for the specific build. Providing Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance and support to ensure full compliance with the construction processes. Liaising with Stakeholders: You can communicate with higher management, clients, and contractors to discuss job progress and address any issues as required. Training and Development: To assist in providing training and guidance for the labour force as required. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to guarantee that all works meet industry standards and client expectations. Documentation and Reporting: Report project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions. Maintain accurate documentation of all construction activities through Procore. About You - Skills and Experience On-site experience in building construction, focusing on new and renewal works. Qualifications relevant to the role with a strong preference for a carpentry trade background. Be competent in understanding and delivering both the building structure and the finishes. Have an eye for detail. Excellent communication and personal skills. A person who is hands-on, enthusiastic, self-motivated and quality driven. Be able to work successfully in a team environment. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to our high-quality standards.
