We're seeking an experienced Grade 4 or 5 Instrument Technician to support a busy Level 4 perioperative service delivering both planned and emergency procedures. With 4 operating theatres performing 7,000 procedures per annum, this role suits a confident senior technician comfortable working in a fast-paced, theatre-driven environment. You'll be joining a well-equipped department featuring 4 new washer/disinfectors and 2 Atheron steam sterilisers, supporting a modern and quality-focused reprocessing service. The Role Working closely with the perioperative team, you will: Manage full-cycle instrument reprocessing to support 4 operating theatres Ensure timely turnaround of theatre sets for elective and emergency lists Operate and monitor washer/disinfectors and Atheron steam sterilisers Maintain compliance with AS 5369 and infection prevention standards Support theatre workflow demands and urgent reprocessing requirements Provide guidance and oversight to junior technicians What's on Offer $50-$60 per hour Private accommodation provided ✈️ Travel allowance included Supportive regional hospital with modern equipment ASAP start | 4-week contract Requirements Certificate IV in Health - Sterilising Practice Minimum 3 years' experience in hospital CSSD (theatre-focused preferred) Experience supporting high-volume perioperative services Strong knowledge of AS 5369 and sterilisation standards Confident working autonomously in a busy theatre environment Excellent communication and leadership skills Australian working rights required - WHV welcome! ✨ Ideal for an experienced theatre-focused Instrument Technician seeking a well-supported regional contract with accommodation and travel covered.
