Description A bit about the role… Play a pivotal role in supporting Australian Defence Force personnel as they navigate one of the most important transitions of their lives — moving from military service into meaningful civilian pathways. As a Transition Support Officer, you’ll walk alongside eligible ADF Members from the moment they signal their intention to transition, right through to their full integration into civilian life. Your work will be hands‑on, person‑centred, and deeply rewarding and involves: Providing tailored transition planning that reflects each member’s goals, strengths, and circumstances Guiding individuals through career exploration, training options, and upskilling opportunities Connecting members with the right services across employment, education, health, and community sectors Researching and identifying high‑quality support providers using local and national networks Monitoring progress and ensuring every member feels supported, informed, and empowered throughout their journey You’ll be part of a dedicated team making a genuine impact every day. Employee Benefits: Competitive salary: $86K super Extra Leave: 4 additional paid annual leave days – 1 My BUSY Day and 3 days at Christmas Employee Benefits: Paid parental leave and retail discounts Professional Growth: Clear pathways for internal advancement and dedicated training budget for personal and professional growth Purpose - Enjoy work that genuinely impacts lives Skills And Experiences About you… Role Requirements - highly preferred having one of the following; Proven experience in case management or career advisory, ideally with exposure to supporting Defence personnel Strong interpersonal strengths — building rapport, active listening, effective interviewing, and the ability to craft clear, tailored Career Plans Confident with ICT systems, including advanced use of Microsoft Office applications Ability to interpret and apply guidelines, procedures, and administrative processes with accuracy Comfortable presenting to groups or speaking in public, or willing to grow these skills Mandatory Program Requirements Must have the following: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the employment services industry, community services sector or similar; or Minimum 4 years full-time ADF service in the preceding 5 years. Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance Open drivers license Next steps This role will actively commence recruitment from the date of advertisement.
