Purpose As the Area Conference & Events Sales Manager, be responsible for delivering high performing outcomes for the Conference & Events Sales Northern Hub team across a network of Extended Stay properties. You will exhibit proactive lead generation, maximise commercial outcomes, and execute sales strategy, along with engaging C&E sales team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences and driving profitable outcomes for the property network. Primary Responsibilities Respond to conference & event enquiries across properties, preparing proposals and driving conversion. Lead, develop, and motivate on‑property C&E teams to deliver consistent operational and service excellence. Oversee site inspections, client communication, and event documentation to ensure seamless execution. Collaborate with operational teams through regular BEO and planning meetings to ensure events meet brand and client expectations. Identify revenue opportunities and support the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives across the area. Maintain accurate financial administration, including invoicing, deposits, billing checks, and forecasting. Skills & Experience Experience in conference & events sales leadership, ideally within hotels or resorts. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams. High proficiency in event systems, reporting, and operational coordination. Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder‑management, and customer‑service skills. Outstanding organisation and time‑management, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Flexible availability, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
