Cali Beach General Manager The Venue Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Cali Beach is an iconic open-air beach club delivering a high-energy hospitality experience across curated trading days, major events, and peak activations. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, premium cocktails, entertainment, and large-scale activations, Cali Beach is a destination venue. The venue operates three core trading days per week, supported by additional event-led days throughout the year, creating a dynamic but balanced operating rhythm. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead front-of-house operations and oversee service delivery during core trading days and key event activations. This role suits a confident hospitality leader who thrives in high-energy environments, enjoys leading from the floor, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for day-to-day execution during trade, as well as overall venue pre-service readiness, team leadership, and maintaining high operational standards across all service periods and events. Key Responsibilities Lead daily front-of-house operations in a high-volume, entertainment-led venue Drive exceptional guest experience across booths, events, and general service Manage and mentor a large FOH team including floor staff, bar staff, hosts, and supervisors Oversee floor execution during peak trade, events, and major activations Execute rosters and manage labour in line with agreed targets Monitor operational performance including labour, stock usage, and wastage Ensure RSA, WHS, and incident reporting compliance at all times Support the planning and delivery of special events and activations in collaboration with our Operations and Events teams Act as a visible leader on the floor, setting service standards and team culture The Skills 3 years’ experience as a Venue Manager, General Manager, or similar leadership role Proven experience working in high-volume, late-trading, or entertainment-focused venues Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams Solid understanding of labour control, service delivery, and venue operations Comfortable managing fast-paced service with large teams Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure Current RMLV certificate Full Australian working rights (no visa sponsorship available) The Benefits Senior leadership role in one of the Gold Coast’s most recognisable venues Competitive base salary plus a performance-based bonus of up to $40,000, with total remuneration potential of $125,000 – $150,000 super Career growth opportunities within Artesian Hospitality 50% staff discount across all Artesian venues High-energy, fast-paced working environment in an iconic venue To apply, please submit your resume along with a short cover letter detailing your suitability for the role.
