The Role SMEC is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer , with a background in Building Services and Low Voltage (LV) to join our rail team in North Sydney. The successful candidate will design and deliver various rail infrastructure projects locally and nationally. Key Responsibilities Design and delivery of building services and low voltage (LV) electrical engineering services for various rail projects Production of engineering drawings, reports, specifications and tender packages from preliminary through to construction Conducting feasibility studies, load calculations and site inspections Reviewing electrical designs, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables About You Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 6 years’ industry experience Experience preparing detailed electrical design and documentation across building services and low-voltage projects Proven track record working within a building services design consultancy or team CPEng or working towards chartership (desirable) Previous experience working within a TAO authorised design consultancy Relevant software experience – AutoCAD and Revit Multi-disciplinary design coordination (desirable) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation Accountability for project delivery and budget In return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy in an environment where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded.
