The First Nations Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of the projects and programs in the Business Solutions Group's Agriculture & Water Program. Initially, the focus of the position will be on leading the delivery of the First Nations component of Climate Services for Agriculture (CSA) Program, ensuring First Nations knowledge and perspectives are considered throughout the Program. The First Nations Engagement Lead will lead the design and development of an engagement, communication and adoption plan to support genuine engagement with the relevant First Nations people and communities that will benefit from the CSA products. The First Nations Engagement Lead will be responsible for raising awareness of the CSA products within the relevant First Nations communities and will work with First Nations people to gain an understanding of First Nations farming practices, First Nations rights, knowledge and science to inform CSA product design and implementation. The First Nations Engagement Lead will communicate and translate the requirements of climate information users to the broader project team to ensure First Nations people engage and benefit from the products. The First Nations Engagement Lead is part of the 'Customer engagement' team in the CSA project and will work with customer-focused agriculture sector professionals as well as partnering organisations. They will have experience in engagement in the agriculture sector and/or regional, rural and remote communities, and are excited to work in an agile environment where changes are expected. The key duties of the position include Under the direction of the Team Lead, the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: 1. Support and enable sustainable First Nations participation in the agricultural and water sectors, including the CSA Program. 2. Develop, coordinate and implement a First Nations engagement, communication and adoption plan for the CSA project. 3. Work collaboratively with team members within the Bureau, across partnering organisations and with First Nations people and communities to achieve project milestones, plan and execute local and online engagement initiatives. 4. Work collaboratively in multi-sited, regionally dispersed and interdisciplinary teams across the Bureau and its partners to deliver high impact products and services. 5. Maintain very high written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting at a variety of engagement events. 6.
