Paradise Alley is a neighbourhood bar with personality. We are a sizable venue which includes a private function space, and a close-knit team and are looking for someone to take the reins of Venue Manager.
The ideal candidate will be fun, friendly, clever & passionate about all facets of hospitality. You will be self-motivated, have strong work ethic, be an excellent communicator, be trustworthy & respectful, an excellent teacher and care deeply about your team. If you love wine in a fun atmosphere, this is an extra bonus.
The venue manager role includes but is not limited to:
* Onboarding and training of new staff
* Cocktail curation
* Beer, wine & spirit list curation
* Liaising with reps
* Stock ordering
* Stocktaking & inventory control
* Rostering & wage control
* Function management
* DJ rostering
* Socials management
* Organising and running events
* Till programming & proficiency in BOH POS systems (we currently use Kounta)
* Beer line maintenance
* RSA register maintenance
The successful applicant will have exceptional attention to detail, incredible problem-solving skills, be able to consistently maintain a tidy workplace (in both the FOH & BOH) and have unparalleled organisational skills. Outside of the listed skillset, we're only looking for a genuinely kind and grounded person. If you're a good delegater and teacher, you can make this job a breeze!
You will be supported by a wonderful team of staff, including an AVM, a bunch of legendary regulars and have a close relationship with the owner.
Customer service is at the forefront of our venue.
