Sitting within Public Policy, the Advocacy team where rapid-response and political activation engine mobilising hosts and guests in real time as short-term rental regulations evolve across Australia. This is not a traditional project role. In summary you will be: Act as the primary frontline contact for hosts and guests navigating regulatory change Enable regulatory compliance through clear engagement and communication Streamline collaboration between community members, policymakers, and internal teams Translate real host and guest voices into credible advocacy that shapes legislation Operating at the intersection of policy, communications, operations, and community, you'll ensure Australia's host community is informed, empowered, and heard where it matters most. Key Responsibilities Design and lead end-to-end host mobilisation programs aligned to strategic advocacy goals. Build structured systems for outreach, engagement, tracking, and story development. Identify and activate host advocates across Australia (initial NSW focus) in response to regulatory triggers. Support hosts to take meaningful advocacy action ie.submissions, meetings, consultations. Act as the central coordination point across Policy, Comms, Community, and Operations. Align mobilisation with fast-moving regulatory timelines and campaign priorities. Track impact, refine strategy, and build scalable playbooks for long-term advocacy success. The skills and expertise required 5 years' experience in project management, advocacy, community engagement, campaigning, or policy-adjacent roles. Strong operational discipline with the ability to bring structure to complex, fast-moving environments. Experience working cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills and sensitivity when engaging community members. A strategic mindset balanced with hands-on delivery capability. Comfort operating in political and regulatory contexts.
