About the Role The General Manager, Education will: Lead the development and execution of a growth-oriented Education Strategy, identifying new markets, products, and revenue pathways. Oversee the design, development, accreditation, and review of programs, ensuring academic quality, market relevance, and financial sustainability. Champion a student-centred culture, enhancing satisfaction, retention, and outcomes through modern learning design, flexible delivery, and digital innovation. Ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance with TEQSA, AQF, HESF, and other relevant standards. Drive cultural and operational transformation, building a collaborative, high-performing team and future-ready learning ecosystem. Engage externally with academic leads, industry, employers, and regulatory bodies to strengthen reputation and partnerships. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Shape and execute an ambitious Education Strategy aligned to organisational objectives and market opportunities. Monitor global trends in digital learning, pedagogy, workforce skills, and regulation. Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and Executive teams to align education offerings with brand and commercial goals. Curriculum & Portfolio Management Lead the portfolio of postgraduate, micro-credential, and professional development programs. Drive innovation in learning design, flexible delivery, and digital education models. Strengthen industry engagement to enhance applied learning and employability outcomes. Student Experience & Success Embed student insights and analytics to improve satisfaction, retention, and academic outcomes. Ensure policies support equity, inclusion, integrity, and high-quality teaching standards. Compliance & Quality Assurance Maintain full compliance with TEQSA, AQF, HESF, and other relevant regulatory standards. Lead submissions, audits, reporting, and academic governance frameworks. Leadership & Culture Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture. Mentor staff, develop leadership capability, and manage budgets and resources. External Engagement Represent the organisation in academic, industry, and regulatory forums. Cultivate partnerships with employers, associations, and higher education providers. Advise the CEO, Academic Board, and Executive team on education strategy and regulatory matters. About You You will have: Proven senior leadership experience in higher education, professional development, or workforce education. Experience growing education businesses and managing program portfolios. Expertise in curriculum design, accreditation, and academic governance. Strong understanding of TEQSA, AQF, HESF, and related regulatory requirements. A student-centred mindset with demonstrated success in improving satisfaction, retention, and outcomes. Experience leading digital transformation in learning and education delivery. Exceptional strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and people leadership skills. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Qualifications: Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Business, or related field.
