About the role L3Harris in Eight Mile Plains is The Centre of Excellence for Electronic Warfare and is home to world-leading design, manufacture and integration expertise and the sustainment of high-reliability electronic warfare components. In this role, you'll champion a culture of safety and reliability, ensuring our facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards while fostering a healthy workplace with zero lost-time injuries. What the role will involve The responsibilities of your role will include the following: Lead and manage all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and programs Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and workplace health and safety legislation Oversee preventative maintenance, facility infrastructure, and critical equipment performance Champion continuous improvement initiatives, risk reduction, and sustainability programs Drive emergency preparedness, training, and employee engagement in safety culture Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and reporting for EH&S and facilities operations Support business continuity and audit readiness across all site operations What you'll bring The role requires the following experience and skills: Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security clearance (NV1) and eligibility to access ITAR/EAR information and technology Formal WHS qualifications with strong practical experience Excellent knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance Experience with liquid nitrogen handling (desirable) Proven ability to develop and implement safety systems and training programs Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills Committed to employee safety, environmental responsibility, and ethical conduct Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments Skilled in MS Office, ERP systems, and data analysis tools (Excel, Visio, CAD) Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, proactive attitude About L3Harris Australia L3Harris Australia excels as a prime defence contractor, providing integrated tech solutions for over four decades.
