Ideally you have a background that could be in any number of trades, however, the transferrable knowledge from likes of building, carpentry, electrical, cabinetmaking or shopfitting – could be really advantageous to this role. A role as a Cadet Building Certifier will commence in learning detailed information relevant to the BCA & NCC and local government authorities from a team of Certifiers. The salary in our advert is the commencing salary and will grow alongside your capability, with study and ability to deliver outcomes for clients. About You Keen interest in construction, building, trades, building & pest inspection, compliance. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude, resilient nature and the ability to work well in a team Desire to enrol in (or currently studying) a relevant qualification to become a certifier What we need Understanding of building plans, specifications, codes, legislation & regulations Liaison with clients regarding the process & progress of their jobs Visiting active construction sites to observe and support inspections with other certifiers Preparing and issuing documentation, requesting further information & actively following up Developing the technical and professional skills needed to become a qualified certifier Assisting senior certifiers with inspections, assessments, and compliance checks When competent visiting commercial building sites to review, inspect & report on works against regulatory requirements What’s on Offer Training and mentorship from experienced certifiers Clear pathway to full accreditation Exposure to a wide range of commercial projects Opportunity to work and travel nationally to service national clients Supportive, collaborative workplace culture If you love travel - when competent, you will have the opportunity to put your hand up and travel to service national clients and undertake site inspections.
