Your next career opportunity As the Subject Coordinator for the Master of Counselling, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of an innovative online programme. You will work closely with a dedicated team to develop a high-quality curriculum, engage with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with academic standards. Your responsibilities will include: Curriculum Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop the online Master of Counselling curriculum. Deliver and Coordinate Courses: Teach and supervise subjects, ensuring content is reviewed and updated during delivery. Ensure Academic Compliance: Maintain adherence to academic policies in assessment design, marking, and plagiarism prevention. Engage with Community Partnerships: Support strategic relationships to enhance programme impact and community engagement. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced educator with a qualification in counselling, adept at developing and delivering online courses while managing stakeholder relationships and adhering to academic standards. You may also: Hold a Master of Counselling or equivalent, eligible for ACA membership. Have experience in developing and delivering counselling courses, particularly online. Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in teaching a range of subjects. Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Your new team – Department of Social Work, School of Health Sciences In July 2009, Social Work became a Department of the School of Health Sciences, in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Social Work was established at The University of Melbourne in 1940 and continues to be one of the leading departments in the Asia-Pacific region. Social Work has a significant research profile and close local and national links with key human service agencies in the government and non-government sectors, social work professional bodies and other major social work schools internationally. Since 2008, Social Work has been offering a qualifying Master of Social Work Degree as well as several specialist Masters post-qualifying courses. In 2016, in a new development for the Department, it began offering online post-qualifying courses including the Master of Advanced Social Work and the Master of Health and Human Services. The Department also offers the Master of Narrative Therapy and Community Work in collaboration with The Dulwich Centre, Adelaide. Social Work also has a long standing, strong and vibrant PhD program focused on training future leaders in the profession and academia.
