About the Role We are seeking a reliable and skilled Baker to join our Rutherford bakery team. This role involves hands-on preparation, baking, and finishing of a wide range of bread and bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and workplace safety. Early morning, weekend, and public holiday shifts may be required. Key Responsibilities Preparing, mixing, and baking bread and bakery products according to established recipes and daily production schedules Operating and monitoring baking equipment including ovens, mixers, and provers Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately to ensure consistent product quality Monitoring baking processes and adjusting temperatures and baking times as required Ensuring all baked products meet freshness, taste, and presentation standards Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards Assisting with stock control, ingredient storage, and stock rotation Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas Requirements Previous experience as a baker or in a commercial bakery environment Knowledge of bread production, dough preparation, and baking techniques Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods Benefits Secure employment with a well-recognised bakery brand Supportive team environment and ongoing training Opportunities for skill development and career progression Staff discounts on bakery products How to Apply Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their resume and a brief cover letter outlining their experience and availability.
