We are looking for exceptionally talented Organisational Performance Consultants, Strategy Consultants and those who have a track record of delivering solutions to complex strategic problems, who are inspired by our mission to deliver public impact. You will work with a high-performing team to deliver management consultancy projects for Australian Public Service clients. Consultant - APS 5 As a Consultant, you will: Apply AGC's consulting methodologies to support delivery of high-quality projects. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Apply critical and strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mind-set. Assist in implementing structured problem-solving techniques to policy and organisational challenges, support workshops and interviews. Perform research work and conduct data analysis, including contribution to project reporting and project deliverables. Assist in project management, coordination and administration activities. Senior Consultant - APS 6 As a Senior Consultant, you will: Work closely with clients and AGC leadership to apply AGC's consulting methodologies and deliver high quality projects aligned to our strategic policy and organisational transformation service lines Skilfully engage with diverse stakeholders inside and outside of government Apply strong critical and strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mind-set Apply structured problem-solving techniques to policy and organisational challenges, facilitate workshops and interviews, analyse data and deliver meaningful results Analyse key resources to generate meaningful insights and recommendations for clients Develop and deploy your subject matter expertise across AGC's service offer. Candidates should note that AGC does not currently have specialised service lines in following areas: Project management Tech consulting or large-scale digital transformation Cyber security Non-advisory professional services (e.g. internal audit). The key duties of the position include As a Consultant, you will bring: Experience in a consulting or advisory environment (or similar public sector roles such as taskforces or strategic policy units) that aligns with our strategic policy and organisational performance service offerings Experience in applying (or the willingness to rapidly learn), quantitative analytic techniques to generate insights, support problem-solving and enable decision-making The ability to anticipate team requirements and manages own work to meet deadlines Verbal and written communication skills which is tailored for the audience The ability to work under guidance to support development of deliverables The ability to work collaboratively in a team and recognises the benefits of an inclusive environment Awareness of strengths and weaknesses and the drive to seek feedback on your performance and improve on it. As a Senior Consultant, you will bring: Experience in a consulting or advisory environment (or similar public sector roles such as taskforces or strategic policy units) that aligns with our strategic policy and organisational performance service offerings Experience in applying (or the willingness to rapidly learn), quantitative analytic techniques to generate insights, support problem-solving and enable decision-making The ability to anticipate and respond to executive, team, and client requirements in providing deliverables The ability to facilitate discussion and communicate clearly and persuasively with internal and external audiences to gather information and present project findings The ability to work under guidance to deliver high quality solutions which have been tested consistently The ability to work collaboratively in a team and contributes to creating an inclusive environment with people at all levels A drive to seek feedback on your performance and improve and to create learning opportunities for self and others. The following is highly desirable, but not essential: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Public Policy, Law) Experience working in a consulting firm or similar public sector roles such as taskforces or strategic policy units) Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, or willingness to build these skills quickly.
