About the role Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a skilled Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our team in Hume, ACT. This full-time local position is an integral part of our operations, responsible for the safe and efficient application of bitumen. What you'll be doing Operate and maintain bitumen spraying equipment to apply bitumen to road surfaces Ensure accurate and consistent bitumen application as per project specifications Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment Monitor and adjust spray rates and temperatures to achieve desired results Work alongside the construction crew to coordinate bitumen application with other activities Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures What we're looking for Demonstrated experience as a Bitumen Sprayer Operator or similar heavy machinery role in the construction industry Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew Commitment to workplace health and safety Current driver's licence and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications What we offer At Austek, we are dedicated to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
