The Salisbury Hotel is on the hunt for an experienced Chef or Cook to join our busy, no-nonsense kitchen. You love honest pub food done properly — fresh ingredients, solid technique, and plates that look as good as they taste. You know how to turn out a cracking Schnitty, Salt & Pepper Squid, and consistent crowd-pleasers, even when the docket rail is full. This is a casual role offering 25 hours per week, with evenings and weekends essential. What you’ll bring: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced pub or Western kitchen (essential) Strong, modern cooking skills with an eye for presentation Solid knowledge of food trends, quality ingredients, and classic pub execution A calm, organised approach — even under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork with front-of-house Strong understanding of food safety, allergen management, and WHS Confidence managing portion control, waste, stock, and food costs Pride in delivering consistent, high-quality food every service You’re comfortable working autonomously when needed, but you’re also a team player who lifts the people around you.
