To assist with the business budgetary process and strategic action plan. Travel throughout the States, as required, to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, gain demonstrations and quotation opportunities in the most cost effective manner. Display or demonstrate products, using samples or a catalog, and emphasize the salable features and customer benefits. Quote prices, delivery and commercial terms for orders obtained in accordance with company policy. Monitor and report on the activities and products of the competition. Prepare and report projected sales and margin forecasts when required. Prepare and report on daily activities when required. Work with customer service representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date. Keep expenses to a minimum and submit all expense claims as per the companies’ policy, including all entertainment expenses. Build and maintain customer relationships. Investigate and resolve customer problems and advises management so that preventative action is taken to reduce potential future errors. Organize and attend trade shows when required. Attend all company sponsored training programs, meetings, seminars, conferences and stock takes when requested. Attend suppliers training courses, seminars or conferences if required, this may involve overseas travel. Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with laws governing business operations. Take action to ensure all non-compliant activities are improved or eliminated. Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Environmental Standards (AS 4801 and ISO 14001) and legal requirements and regulation under applicable OHS ACT and Regulations Ensure communication and feedback channels are open with all employees.
