Your new role: As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will work closely with Pharmacists to ensure safe, compliant and efficient medication services across hospital and health service facilities. Your work will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes and service excellence. You will: Prepare, dispense and supply medicines under Pharmacist supervision, including controlled and trial medicines Support medicines distribution, stock control, repackaging and automated medication systems Maintain accurate records, input data into medicines information systems and assist with inventory management Contribute to quality improvement, environmental monitoring and safe workplace practices About you: You are a detail-oriented and team-focused professional with a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and medicines management. You bring: Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (HLT37115) and Community Pharmacy (SIR30116) plus HLTPA001 module (or equivalent) Knowledge of generic, trade and chemical medicine names and the ability to interpret prescriptions Understanding of medicines legislation, Good Manufacturing Practice, PBS/SAS schemes and hospital inventory processes Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team Commitment to quality standards, workplace safety and culturally respectful care What we can offer you: We offer a family-friendly work environment that supports you in making the most of Queensland's laid-back lifestyle. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
