Permanent full-time role based in Rockhampton Base annual salary $131,000 12.75% superannuation 9-day fortnight – Mon-Fri, Mon-Thurs Paid travel time within your roster travel allowance All PPE and work vehicle supplied A strong culture of safety – we work safe, so everyone gets home safe About the Role As a Asset Supervisor based in Rockhampton you'll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the planning, auditing and inspection of multi‑disciplinary maintenance activities, ensuring all works meet approved plans, quality and safety standards, and comply with relevant legislation, regulations and codes. Your key responsibilities will include: Inspect and monitor maintenance activities—including fire systems, electrical test and tag, asbestos, safety, and wooden pole inspections—to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate data management. Supervise and sign off contractor work as directed by the Work Management Coordinator. Coordinate the sourcing, supervision and administration of contractors to deliver the annual maintenance program, including final inspections and preparation of completion reports. Conduct inspections and audits to support strategic planning and meet local government interface agreement requirements. Assist with developing 1–5 year maintenance plans while communicating effectively with staff, contractors and stakeholders, and resolving maintenance-related issues as they arise. View Position Description here. About you Solid knowledge of asset management requirements, building codes and relevant regulations. Strong inspection skills with an understanding of safety, hazards and investigative methods. Able to identify defects, faults and substandard workmanship. Confident in interpreting and applying relevant codes, laws and regulations. Skilled in negotiation, decision-making and coordinating maintenance activities. Competent across multi‑disciplinary maintenance tasks. Proficient in asset management and finance-related computer systems To be considered you must hold a Trade Certificate in one of the following: Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing or Electrical and hold a ‘C’ class drivers’ licence This role offers a diverse and rewarding opportunity, including traveling across the region on a regular basis.
