Role Overview Based in Adelaide, the Operations Manager will provide leadership across multi-shift operational teams to ensure readiness, compliance, and service excellence. Reporting into senior leadership, the role is responsible for managing people, resources, and performance within a high-demand operational environment. This position suits an experienced leader with a background in emergency services or similar high-risk operations, capable of balancing safety, performance and stakeholder expectations. Key responsibilities will include:- Leading day-to-day operations to ensure people, fleet and equipment readiness; Overseeing training, qualifications, and compliance with safety standards; Managing workforce planning, succession and performance development; Monitoring budgets, driving efficiency and supporting continuous improvement; Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders; Promoting a culture of safety, accountability and operational excellence. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience This successful candidate will demonstrate proven leadership experience within emergency services or comparable high-risk operational environments. Strong people management capability, including workforce planning and performance development, is essential. Practical knowledge of incident response, risk management and compliance is required, along with sound commercial or contract management exposure. Relevant qualifications in emergency services, safety, or management are required, together with a current driver’s license and the ability to work flexibly and travel as required.
