About The Position One of our operating companies, CT Group , is looking for a Head of IT to join their team in the Perth or Melbourne office. As a Head of IT, you will be providing strategic and operational technology leadership across CT Group, ensuring infrastructure, systems, and security are scalable, resilient and aligned with business objectives. It oversees governance, architecture, datacentre operations and compliance, while acting as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues. The position also leads and mentors technical teams, drives continuous improvement and works closely with executives, department heads and technology partners to deliver secure, high-performing, and commercially aligned solutions. Responsibilities Define and execute CT Group’s technology strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives. Provide governance and executive-level guidance on technology, risk, and innovation. Lead, mentor, and develop senior technical staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Oversee datacentre operations, infrastructure performance, resilience, and vendor partnerships. Provide architectural oversight across customer and internal solutions, including major upgrades and migrations. Act as the senior escalation point for complex incidents and drive structured root cause resolution. Ensure strong security, compliance, and risk management practices (including ISO 27001 and Essential 8). Manage strategic technology partners, licensing, procurement, and commercial alignment. Collaborate with executive and departmental leaders to uphold standards, drive best practice and support business growth. Deep technical expertise across infrastructure, cloud (Azure), networking, security, Microsoft 365, and hybrid/datacentre environments, supported by experience in governance and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential 8, and risk management. Demonstrated solution architecture capability, delivering scalable, secure, and resilient environments, alongside proven leadership of senior engineers to drive accountability, performance, and professional development. Experienced in managing critical incidents, major outages, and structured root cause analysis in high-pressure environments, as well as vendor and partner management including licensing, procurement, and performance oversight. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
