Together, we create thriving environments, communities and economies. 12 Month Temporary Opportunity Environment Officer Class 7, remuneration starting from $109,102 plus superannuation Role based in our Parramatta Office Join a purpose-led organisation and make a difference to the environment and our community The Opportunity The Policy Officer coordinates and contributes to the development and implementation of regulatory frameworks, regulatory policies and projects, guidance and strategic and innovative solutions to maintain or improve the EPA’s ability to regulate environmental matters and achieve environment protection more generally across NSW. About you The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: Highly motivated and adaptive, with strong written and verbal communication skills Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret legislation and communicate complex information clearly. Proven ability to prepare accurate and concise reports, briefings and policy documents tailored to diverse audiences. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. A good understanding of NSW government policy particularly in the context of environmental regulation and policy development. About the team Climate & Environmental Protection Policy Branch The branch provides Strategic and Regulatory policy advice to the EPA Board and the NSW Government including leading the development of the climate change action plan.
