About The Role Whitehaven Coal are seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to join our team at Tarrawonga mine! This position is accountable for mining operations and ensuring alignment of activities and tasks with business plans.The successful applicant for the position will either reside in the Gunnedah region or be willing to relocate. What You’ll Do• Driving a high performance workplace culture through visible enthusiasm, clear accountability, and an open-door leadership approach that builds trust, ownership, and team engagement.• Support Operations Manager in managing people, systems and behaviors to achieve optimum mine productivity, performance, company performance and customer targets.• Participate in the development of 5-year mine designs, plans, schedules and performance targets.• Support and implement waste reduction strategies.• Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Health and Safety Management System and Plans, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements by all staff within area of responsibility.What You’ll BringTo be successful in this role you will be a leader who drives positive outcomes by providing coaching and development to your team, with the ability to grow and develop through mentorship to drive positive outcomes.
