HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity We are looking for a Quality and Systems manager to join our project office based in Sydney. The purpose of the role is to implement, monitor and maintain the HLWJV Project Management System; to monitor, verify and report project delivery compliance records with Client requirements; and ensure project personnel are appropriately trained in applicable quality and project systems. Key Accountabilities · Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement project plans and strategies to meet or exceed targets per the contract and Employer Requirements. · Maintain Quality Management Plans, associated policies and procedures up to date to ensure Deed and Legislative requirements are satisfactorily met. · Manage and oversee the implementation of project management systems and tools, ensuring alignment with organizational and project requirements. · Lead the review process with reference to accuracy of statistical data around quality deliverables for client and internal reporting and handover for Completion. About You • Appropriate trade and technical qualifications • Minimum 15 years in engineering / construction environment • Minimum 5 years in Quality Assurance / Control Manager role. • Good level of understanding and knowledge of ISO 9001 Standard requirements. • Qualified Internal Auditor (Quality Management Systems) or equivalent auditing experience. • Proactively seek to continuously improve performance, deliverables, and work efficiencies. The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
