The National Recovery Specialist is a support role responsible for managing a national claims portfolio. Open to candidates in QLD, NSW or VIC. They provide support to Injured Team Members, Centre Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Regional Managers throughout the rehabilitation and return to work process. This role also offers technical advice on Workers Compensation in the early learning environment. We are looking for a National Recovery Team Specialist with expertise or interest in workplace injury management and return to work strategies. The successful candidate will support the business in achieving full recovery, lifestyle activities, and wellbeing for employees. Key Responsibilities: Promote early intervention after injury or illness. Adhere to legislative timelines for claim lodgment. Develop and monitor return-to-work plans. Resolve issues blocking successful return to work. Communicate regularly with involved parties during the claim process. Engage rehabilitation providers for complex cases. Maintain current and confidential workers compensation and return to work files. Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless information transfer. Provide technical advice on Workers Compensation matters. Contribute to monthly reports. Stay updated on workers' compensation practices and legislation. Promote Employee Assistance Program when appropriate. Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Attend operational team meetings to provide updates and education. Review incidents to develop injury prevention strategies. Adhere to HSW and safety policies at all times. Report any incidents or hazards. Participate in mandatory training. Demonstrate Guardian's values of bravery, thoughtfulness, professionalism, and positivity. Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience in injury management and workers compensation management.
