Full Job Description A well-established Toowoomba-based manufacturing company is seeking a Trade Assistant for an immediate start in their workshop. This is an ongoing position with the opportunity to move into permanent employment after a successful probation period. This role suits someone with hands-on experience assisting trades, assembling machinery, agricultural equipment, or working in a production or mechanical environment. You’ll be supporting tradespeople with assembly, testing and general workshop duties while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality. Duties include: Assisting trades with assembly and fit-out of equipment Testing and basic commissioning support Using hand and power tools General workshop duties and housekeeping Following plans, instructions and safety procedures About you: Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, fitter’s offsider, mechanic’s assistant or similar Mechanically minded with good attention to detail Own basic hand tools Reliable, punctual and ready for Monday–Friday work Local Toowoomba resident preferred Pay rate is negotiable based on skills and experience, offering the chance to work with an employer of choice in a stable, growing workshop.
