With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced FSA to join the Food Services team / department at Kilmore.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About Food Services: Northern Health Food Services Department is an in-house service will Cook Fresh system in place. We provide meals for both the inpatients and our 2 aged care facilities. Along with theatre and staff meals.  About the role As a Food Service Assistant, you'll play an important role as part of the team, providing quality nutritional and balanced meals for our patients. The daily job activities will include serving meals on a plating line, general food preparation, kitchen duties including: Prepare, plate, distribute and collect patient & Resident meals Provide meal and beverage service to Residents & patients Cleaning duties, use of industrial dishwasher  To be successful in this role you will have: An ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients and staff. Completion food safety records as required. Preparation of all cold larder and sandwiches as per specification. Ability to work across areas including aged care.
